Open call for sponsors

Open call for potential sponsoring for the European level Crowdsourcing campaign of the CIPTEC project

European citizens can share their concerns for the future of the Public Transport and can submit their innovative ideas in the frame of the crowdsourcing campaign that is running within the EU Horizon 2020 research project, CIPTEC.

The European version of the user-friendly platform is accessible to the website (http://youplan.ciptec.eu/), where citizens from all the European countries could submit their ideas in order to improve the level of service of public transport systems, both in their country and Europe as a whole. The submitted ideas, will be disseminated, discussed, improved and evaluated by the other users of the platform. The best idea, which will arise from the evaluation of the users, as well as from a special committee on the field of transport, will be rewarded.

The action is addressed to all users and non-users of public transport and aims at the interaction and the enhancement of cooperation and communication among citizens in order to achieve the common goal of the improvement of public transport system. In fact, this action could be used as an experiment of citizens’ activation and would allow the drawing of conclusions for the effectiveness of the crowdsourcing method in issues related to urban planning, transport and mobility management.

Description of the action:

Crowdsourcing Campaign  on European level AWARD & presents
Citizens from all over Europe will present their innovative ideas to improve the level of public transport service, both in the region and Europe in general. The platform is accessible to the website (http://youplan.ciptec.eu/) and is already in operation.

The ideas will be evaluated by the same users of the platform.

Those with the highest scores will then be evaluated by a panel selected by the partners of CIPTEC project.

Presents for the:

1st award;
2nd award;
3rd award

Present after a draw among all participants of the campaign

The successful implementation of the action in terms of the participation level and the quality of submitted ideas/proposals will be influenced by the incentives provided to the participants. Beyond the motivation derived from the participation, dialogue and joy of collaborative creation themselves, it is expected that some attractive gifts could encourage citizens to participate in this original ‘social experiment’.

Indicative Sponsor benefits:

  1. Inclusion of the link, the name and logo of the Sponsor on the website of Crowdsourcing Campaign.
  2. Naming the Sponsor in any dissemination action for the Crowdsourcing Campaign through the social media.

  4. Awarding of the winner during a CIPTEC event and dissemination of this through the press and the social media (appropriate promotion of the sponsor, e.g. naming the sponsor, banner with the logo and the name of the sponsor, etc.).

Based on the grant size, the promotion of the sponsors will be adapted accordingly, e.g. in terms of the size of the font, logo, etc. Additional and/or alternative benefits could be also added and discussed with the project coordinator, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh).
